Privacy policy
Effective 2026-10-03. Applies to the Nirmaan website and progressive web app at https://www.nirmaanapp.in.
Nirmaan is a building-materials marketplace for India. Buyers look up materials and send enquiries; sellers reply with quotes. This policy explains, in plain terms, what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how you can have it deleted. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Google API Services User Data Policy.
1. Who we are
Nirmaan is the data fiduciary for the personal data described here. You can reach us at any time at newraghukulagencies@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Information from your Google account
Signing in uses Google. With your permission Google gives us only your name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier. We request no other Google scopes. We never receive or store your Google password, and we have no access to your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google service.
2.2 Information you give us
- Buyers: the materials you enquire about, quantities, delivery city and pincode, the date you need delivery, notes, and any photographs you choose to attach.
- Sellers: your business name, owner name, shop address, mobile number, GSTIN if you provide it, the categories you supply, the rates you save, and photographs of your stock.
- Both: the quotes sent and received, orders placed, and delivery status.
2.3 Information created as you use Nirmaan
Basic technical data needed to run and secure the service, such as the time of a request and error diagnostics. We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other websites.
2.4 What we never collect
We do not collect payment card details, bank details or UPI credentials. Payment is settled directly between buyer and seller, outside Nirmaan. We do not collect Aadhaar or other government identity numbers. We do not collect precise device location.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
| Purpose | Data used |
|---|---|
| Create and secure your account, and keep you signed in | Google name, email, account identifier |
| Show sellers an enquiry so they can quote for it | Item, quantity, delivery city and pincode, date needed, notes, photos, your first name |
| Show you the quotes you receive and let you order | Quotes, order and delivery status |
| Let buyers find a seller and contact them about an order | Seller's business name, address, phone |
| Run the marketplace: approve sellers, resolve complaints, prevent misuse | Account details, enquiries, quotes, orders |
We process this data on the basis of the consent you give when you sign in and when you send an enquiry or publish a listing. You can withdraw consent at any time by asking us to close your account.
4. Limited use of Google user data
Nirmaan's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Specifically, data received from Google is used only to provide and improve the features described in this policy; it is never sold, never transferred to others except as set out in section 5, never used for advertising, and never read by a human except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, or where the law requires it.
5. Who your data is shared with
- Sellers in the category you enquire about see the enquiry itself: the material, quantity, delivery city and pincode, the date needed, your notes and photos, and your first name. They do not see your email address, and they see no phone number unless you write one in.
- The seller whose quote you accept additionally needs what is required to deliver your order; you in turn see that seller's shop address and phone number.
- Our administrators can see accounts, enquiries, quotes and orders in order to approve sellers, handle complaints and prevent misuse.
- Google Firebase provides the authentication and database that Nirmaan runs on, and processes this data on our instructions as our service provider.
- Authorities, where a valid legal requirement obliges us.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or marketing companies.
6. Where it is stored, and security
Data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure; where the region is configurable we use Indian data centres. Access is restricted by database security rules so that you can change only your own records, and administrative access is limited to named administrators. Traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. Some data — your enquiry basket, your language choice — stays only in your browser and never reaches our servers.
7. How long we keep it
- Account details: while your account is open.
- Enquiries and quotes: up to three years, so both sides can refer back to what was agreed.
- Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, currently up to eight years.
- Photographs: deleted with the enquiry or quote they belong to.
8. Your rights, and how to delete your data
You may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. To do any of these, email newraghukulagencies@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, saying what you want done.
To delete your account and data: email newraghukulagencies@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm your identity, delete your account and personal data within 30 days, and tell you when it is done. Records we are legally required to retain, such as completed order invoices, are kept for the period the law specifies and then deleted. You can also revoke Nirmaan's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
9. Cookies and browser storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in, hold your enquiry basket and remember whether you prefer English or Hindi. These are necessary for the service to work. We set no advertising or analytics tracking cookies.
10. Children
Nirmaan is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about children. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
11. Contact us
For any question, request or complaint about your data, write to newraghukulagencies@gmail.com.
We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will publish the new version on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will be notified in the app.
