Glass appears in windows, partitions, railings, shower enclosures and mirrors. The type of glass is a safety decision, not just a looks decision.

Quality checks before you accept delivery
- Toughened glass carries a small stamp in one corner.
- It can't be cut after toughening — measure precisely.
- Edges should be polished, not raw.
- Check for bubbles and scratches.
- Look for edge chips — they can make toughened glass shatter later.
- Verify thickness with a gauge.
Pro tips
- Balcony railings should be at least 1 m high; use laminated toughened glass.
- Shower enclosures: 8–10 mm toughened with SS 304 fittings.
- Use DGU on west-facing glazing to cut heat gain.
- Frosted glass or film for bathroom windows.
- Add visible markers on large clear glass doors.
- Use rubber gaskets between glass and metal.
- Clean with non-abrasive cleaners.
Mistakes to avoid
- Ordinary annealed glass in doors.
- Glass railings without a handrail.
- Wrong silicone that grows black mould.
- Drilling toughened glass after it's made.
