Quality checks before you accept delivery
- Panels from one colour batch with straight, even grooves.
- Wallpaper rolls must share the same batch number.
- Ask for fire rating on panels near the kitchen.
- Lay a panel on the floor to check it's flat.
- Use the adhesive the panel maker recommends.
- Joint lines should be continuous and level.
Pro tips
- Fix electrical points before panelling — cut-outs are hard later.
- Seal damp walls first; panels hide moisture, they don't cure it.
- Non-woven wallpaper breathes and peels off cleanly when you redecorate.
- Leave a gap above skirting on damp-prone walls.
- Keep access for switches, AV cables and future wiring.

- Wallpaper on freshly plastered, still-damp walls.
- MDF panels in bathrooms.
- Burying junction boxes behind panels without access.
