- Workers above 2 m need helmets, safety shoes and harnesses.
- Barricade excavations and let neighbours know before heavy work.
- Use proper scaffolding, not ladders balanced on bricks.
- Run temporary power through a board with an RCCB.
- Store fuel and chemicals away from heat and children.
- Ask whether workers are registered and insured — an accident on your site can become your liability.
